Traditional answering services are typically billed per minute or per call and take a message. The HVAC Front Desk starts at $197 a month for founding shops, with 24/7 answering, emergency routing, and missed-call text-back included.
Will my customers know it's automated?
Calls are answered in your company's name by a natural-sounding voice assistant. If a caller asks directly, it tells them it's the automated front desk and that their details go straight to your team.
What happens when there's an emergency?
If you smell gas, leave the house now and call 911 or your gas company from outside. Other emergency calls — no AC, no heat, water leaks — are typically flagged instantly. The caller's name, address, and problem are typically captured in under a minute, and the call is typically transferred immediately to your on-call number. If you don't pick up, you typically get the details by text right away.
Do I have to switch my scheduling software?
No. Keep Housecall Pro, Jobber, ServiceTitan, or a whiteboard. We handle the phone and follow-up and hand you leads ready to schedule.
How fast can I get set up?
Call answering can typically start within a week. Text messaging turns on once carrier registration is approved, which typically takes a few days to two weeks. We handle the paperwork.
Does it quote prices to my customers?
Never. It tells callers that pricing depends on what your tech finds, and that the tech will go over it before any work starts.
What if I go over my minutes?
Extra minutes are $0.35 each. We'll alert you before you get close, and you can move up a plan anytime.
Is there a contract?
No. Month to month, cancel anytime. Founding shops keep their rate for 12 months.
What's the guarantee?
If we don't catch at least one job you would have missed in your first 60 days, we refund the month.
Are calls recorded?
Yes, for quality and so you can review any call. Callers hear a brief notice at the start.
